How privacy vanishes online?

Our Social Security number, e-mail address and even our name are all parts of our privacy. Nowadays Internet is full of personal identifying data which based on traditional definition of privacy people wouldn't let others to reach them easily.

Consider social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Myspace which are full of personal details contained birthday greetings, family photos and movies watched. These type of information can be collected and reassembled to create a picture of person or even reach to his/her Social Security number.

Social Security numbers are prized by identity thieves because they can be used as both identifiers and authentications of banking, credit card and other transactions.

As a result, some authorities such as F.T.C are worried about private protection rules' movements along with the new technology. They are looking for tighter industry requirements to stop online monitoring.

But don't forget that : doing stuff online is like doing it in public!
